Promotion Process

The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering has adopted a professional and pre-professional program for all majors. Students in the preprofessional program are only permitted to register for lower-division (100- and 200-level) classes within the school. Promotion from preprofessional to professional status is based on students attaining a specific GPA (to be determined) in a set of required skill set courses. For transfer students, the promotion process is initiated when students have completed all courses within the course skill set.

Orientation

Incoming students should register for and participate in a orientation program. In one of these programs, students are guided through a myriad of campus life programs and services (including issuance of ID card, meal plans, housing, financial aid, etc.) and the the registration process, including registering for first semester classes. You can learn more about orientation at the ASU Orientation website and get oriented online through the Fulton School of Engineering New Student Orientation page and ASU Online Transfer Orientation website.

Curriculum Check Sheets and Course Registration Information

Curriculum check sheets let you know exactly what courses you need to take in order to graduate. These provide a useful tool for registering for classes and knowing what is a head of you in your academic career. The ASU Catalog serves as a list of all classes available to students for a given catalog year and the schedule of classes lets you see when classes are for registration.
