University Residency Requirements

Following University regulations it is emphasized that; "At least two consecutive semesters subsequent to admission to the Ph.D. program must be spent in full-time residence at Arizona State University. At least 30 hours of the approved Ph.D. program in which they are enrolled, in addition to dissertation and research hours, must be completed at ASU.

Selection of an Advisor

The student must select a faculty advisor with the selection being made no later than the end of the first semester in residence. The advisor's name must be filed with the Department Office. A change of advisor requires approval of the Department Chair.
